The muddy guest who arrives
Uninvited to soil your clean,
Crisp self-sufficiency.

The odorless, tasteless, noiseless
Gas that permeates your soul
Till you succumb to its joys.

The wind that rages haphazardly
Till you can't catch your breath.
Or the breeze that gently whispers.

Whatever form it takes, Smile,
You have felt something rich
Passing by.
